New Build – Slindon

We inherited a fundamental design for a replacement dwelling on a superb 2 acre plot at the top of Slindon, and sensitively redesigned this stunning Georgian style home. We worked closely with the Client to provide generous internal spaces which perfectly suited their requirements. An Associate Interior Designer and Landscape Architect worked with us to create a stunning end result.

Extensions, alterations and refurbishment – East Preston

Our brief was to significantly enlarge and refurbish what was a dated 1920’s house to create a spectacular ’New England’ style seaside home. We worked closely with an interior designer and the Client to carefully develop the interiors, and with a superb contractor we were able to oversee the completion of this spectacular property.

New Build – East Preston

Working for a developer Client, we re-designed this large New Dwelling and are currently overseeing its construction. The design amalgamates traditional appearance and materials externally with contemporary modern living spaces and detailing internally. The property will be completed in Summer 2020.

Extension and refurbishment – East Preston

After undertaking a feasibility exercise with the Conservation Officer at the Local Authority, we carefully designed extensions to sympathetically complement the original Tower, and went on to complete the extensions and a full refurbishment of the property.

Extension/Refurbishment to a Listed Building – Arundel

After several pre-application meetings with the Local Authority Historic Buildings Advisor and Conservation Officer, we went on to fully design and specify, obtain permissions and oversee the extension and refurbishment of this beautiful Grade 2 Listed Georgian Home in the centre of Arundel.

Renovation – Climping

Renovation and extension to an important individual seaside house adjoining beach. Creation of separate staff flat and garaging. Outdoor swimming pool with Sports pavilion to include kitchen and changing facilities. Rainwater harvesting system for the estate.

Adjustment to a Listed Building – Middleton on Sea

Removal of modern conservatory, and creation of a timber framed Garden and Dining Room suitable to adjoin an important Grade ll listed building close to the sea.

Sport Pavilion – Ardingly

New timber framed sports pavilion providing changing facilities, storage and match support facilities, looking over football pitches.

Conversion – Ditchling Common

Conversion of Sussex barn to concert hall and stage, with lighting and sound facilities. Demolition of former stables and erection of new oak framed ancillary building to form Green Room and kitchen/shower facilities for main barn.

Stables Conversation – Burpham

Modernisation of former stables building, converted to residential, but to a 4 bedroom house with modern kitchen, sitting room and chimney stack, and adjoining oak framed garden room with Utility and boiler room.

The Windmill Conversation Grade II Listed Building – Reigate

Conversion of Grade ll* listed redundant windmill to 4 bedroomed house, including granary and matching extension with wine cellar. Renovation of mill mechanism and sails.

Daily Telegraph Homebuilding 2006 Awards – winner best conversion

Northchapel Renovation – Northchapel

Renovation, re-erection and extension of ancient, framed Grade ll listed C17th Yeoman’s farmhouse and outbuildings. Period Granary and Sussex barn renovated and the addition of 4 car garage in matching “cowshed” style, forming tradition farmyard layout with pond and creation of driveway and walled and lawned grounds.

Renovation in a Conservation Area – Slindon

Renovation and replacement extension to former Public House. Modernisation of existing services, walled garden in Conservation Area.

Pre-Prep School – Ardingly

Conversion of Grade ll listed farm buildings to provide new school building, comprising six Classrooms, Assembly hall, Staff room, toilets and changing facilities. Playground, games pitches and new modern drainage.

Feasibility

With a brief for a new infill development for at least 10 houses for land in a Sussex village, the designer exceeded expectations by achieving 13  two and three bedroom units on the site.

Extension/refurbishment – East Preston

Having received a fundamental brief to completely alter the appearance and extend/alter an already substantial house, we proposed a ‘New England’ style range of finishes and detailing to suite the coastal location. We went on to design and obtain Planning, Private Estate and Building Regulations approvals. Construction work to create this impressive seaside residence has recently commenced on site and is due to complete later in 2020

New Dwelling – East Preston

We were tasked with designing this contemporary beach style house to create a family home in East Preston. After working through a a comprehensive concept design phase, and subsequent detailed design stages of work, we went on to obtain Planning Permission, Building Regulations approval and assisted the Client to appoint a Contractor. We are now overseeing the construction works which have commenced on site with a view to handing over in late 2020.
