When do i need a survey?

Buying a house

If you are buying a new house and you need a mortgage, the lender will often ask for a valuation of the property to guarantee its value and secure the loan. It is important to remember that the valuation report is not a survey. An RICS Survey will tell you the condition of the property and could also help you during price negotiation.

SELLING A HOUSE

When it comes to selling a house, an RICS Survey could help you foresee any problems that could cause delays or variations in the price. An RICS Survey will tell you the condition of the property and could also help you during price negotiation.

STAYING AT HOME

Conducting a survey of your home’s current condition serves as an early warning system for identifying defects, ultimately helping you mitigate the costs of future repair and maintenance.

Our Services

Fuller Surveyors provides official Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Home Surveys (Levels 1, 2 and 3), which each contain varying levels of detail dependent on the size, age and nature of the property. The survey inspections are carried out by our experienced RICS Chartered Surveyors, who will call you on the day of inspection to discuss their initial findings before completing their detailed reports, which follow shortly after.

The RICS Home Surveys provide an elemental overview of the property, and the Level 1 and Level 3 surveys also include photographs. The concise method of reporting within these surveys provides you with an easy-to-read synopsis of each element of the building. This ensures you have a comprehensive understanding of what part of the building is being referred to, its condition, and any implications arising from a potential defect.
