Design Sketch Schemes – Residential
On larger projects the design sketch stage typically follows on from the feasibility assessment of a scheme, although some projects require a sketch scheme to contribute to assessing the feasibility. The sketch stage follows a specific client brief and utilises AFA’s design experience relevant to the building and location type.
AFA use comprehensive 3D CAD software to produce both axonometric and perspective visuals to accompany 2D plans, elevations and sections to provide the client with a comprehensive understanding of the appearance of the subject building(s) inclusive of any proposed alterations. This incorporates the fundamental material textures and colours, as well as key detailing items such as rainwater goods and more intricate detailing of specific items such as joinery, exposed rafter feet etc.
